Editor Lis McLoughlin of NatureCulture has released the anthology, Writing the Land: Rensselaer County, New York. The collection represents a collaboration between Dr. McLoughlin, Hudson Taconic Lands Trust (HTCT) and Arts, Letters & Numbers (ALN). It showcases work by several poets who, while in residence at ALN, visited and wrote about nearby preserved HTCT lands in Rensselaer County. The poems are accompanied by stunning artwork and photographs.
Three poems by Larew about the Boehme Legacy Forest in Cropseyville, New York, are included in the anthology.
Proceeds from the sale of the anthology will benefit the Hudson Taconic Lands Trust. More information about the anthology is here -- Writing the Land: Rensselaer County NY — NatureCultureI

Let's say you've hike out to
Bunker Hill Summit
To look South or East or even beyond
And let's say that I'm not with you
For whatever reason
No matter
Let's say as you read this
You're also scouting the views
Alongside what's bright or hidden or sudden
And that you and your boots once again realized
That time is precious
(I know, you've heard that before)
And let's say that your hats will fly off the ledges --
They need to
So let them --
And let's say that your knees become tables for maps
Because they should...
