Writing the Land Residency

September 9, 2024 -- Larew recently joined a dozen other poets at the Arts, Letters & Numbers center in Averill Park, New York, USA (arts letters & numbers (artslettersandnumbers.com)) to visit and then write poems about lands that have been preserved by the Rensselaer Plateau Alliance (Rensselaer Plateau Alliance).

The national Writing the Land program is sponsored by NatureCulture (NatureCulture (nature-culture.net))

Larew used this invitation to write about the Boehme Legacy Forest in Cropseyville, New York. He also visited an RPA partner, Laughing Earth Farm in Cropseyville (Laughing Earth).

Poems written during the residency will be considered for publication in a NatureCulture anthology, with a planned release in 2025.
